Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus capable of correcting a printing position with high accuracy by improving the detection accuracy of a position of an image for measurement.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 forms an image for measurement for measuring a deviation amount of a printing position on a sheet S. An image reading apparatus 101 reads the image for measurement while conveying the sheet S. The image forming apparatus 1 generates a correction value for correcting the printing position of the image on the sheet S based on a reading result of the image for measurement by the image reading apparatus 101. The image for measurement is constituted by reference images as images each surrounding by a rhombus a plurality of straight lines perpendicular to a conveyance direction and equally spaced in the conveyance direction. The image for measurement is constituted by the reference images respectively formed in the vicinities of four corners of the sheet S.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
