Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that, when changing performance, such as the speed of printing and the density of a reference image by purchasing a license, and then returning the performance to the one before a license period at the end of the license period, certainly changes an image forming condition to be used to an image forming condition before the license period.SOLUTION: License receiving means receives provision of a license to switch an image forming speed or a reference target density. When the license receiving means receives the provision of the license, switching means switches the image forming speed or the reference target density. Maximum density adjustment means performs adjustment of a development contrast potential to match the reference target density. Gradation correction table creation means creates a gradation correction table. Returning means executes the maximum density adjustment means and the gradation correction table creation means so that when the license period received by the license receiving means becomes invalid, the image forming speed or the reference target density becomes the one before the provision of the license.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
