Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can facilitate a design with a high degree of freedom in which restrictions are reduced including the distance between conductive members and a variation in electric resistance due to repeated use of an intermediate transfer body.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 has: a first power supply 134 that applies voltage to a first opposing member 131 not through an intermediate transfer body 7 to supply current between a first conductive member 122 and the first opposing member 131; a first control unit 134b that controls output from the first power supply based on a result of detection of a current or a voltage generated between the first power supply 134 and the first opposing member 131; a second power supply 135 that applies voltage to a second conductive member 123 not through the intermediate transfer body 7 to supply current between the second conductive member 123 and a second opposing member 132; and a second control unit 135b that controls output from the second power supply 135 based on a result of detection of a current or a voltage generated between the second power supply 135 and the second conductive member 123.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
