Abstract:
To obtain sufficient bonding strength without setting too high a heating temperature in a bonding process.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: image forming means (1e) that forms toner images on a sheet by using printing toners (Ty, Tm, Tc) and applies a powder adhesive (Tn) to the sheet; fixing means (6) that fixes the toner images to the sheet; folding means (31) that folds the sheet passing through the fixing means with the surface applied with the powder adhesive inside; and bonding means (32) that heats the sheet folded by the folding means to bond the sheet with the powder adhesive. When the highest attainable temperature of the powder adhesive when it is heated by the fixing means is Tmax1, and the highest attainable temperature of the powder adhesive when it is heated by the bonding means is Tmax2, Tmax1>Tmax2 is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
