Abstract:
To reduce a loss of output materials due to a mistake in the type of paper.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus acquires a print condition including the brand of a sheet designated by a user (step S1), and detects the physical properties of the first sheet (step S4). When the physical properties of the brand and the physical properties of the first sheet match each other (step S5; YES), the image forming apparatus starts image formation (step S6). Subsequently, the image forming apparatus detects the physical properties of the N-th sheet (step S10), and when the physical properties of the N-1-th sheet and the physical properties of the N-th sheet match each other (step S11; YES), the image forming apparatus continues the image formation (step S12). When the physical properties of the brand and the physical properties of the first sheet do not match each other in step S5 (step S5; NO), or when the physical properties of the N-1-th sheet and the physical properties of the N-th sheet do not match each other in step S11 (step S11; NO), the image forming apparatus stops the image formation and displays a warning message (step S13).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
