Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus enabling a user to visually and easily determine presence or absence of a paper ejected to a paper ejecting part.
SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus body comprises the paper ejecting part 15 which is formed so as to be opened to the front X1 through an open part for taking out papers in an image forming apparatus body 1, and where the paper is ejected to left and right directions Y1 and Y2 when seen from the front X1; and an opening 17 for lighting the paper ejecting part 15 with the outside light. The image forming apparatus body 1 comprises a first part 1a for housing an optical system to read a document image and a second part 1b for housing an image forming part. The paper ejecting part 15 is disposed between the two parts. The first part 1a has a width approximately the same as the second part 1b in the width of left and right directions when seen from the front X1 of the image forming apparatus body 1. That is, the first part 1a has a shape that does not protrude from the second part 1b on the side where the opening 17 is provided.
