PURPOSE: To obtain an image forming composition giving a fast image having an arbitrary hue and superior shelf stability by adding a compound having an active methylene group or an active methine group, an aromatic sulfonamide compound and silica.
CONSTITUTION: The desired image forming composition is obtd. by mixing a compound (A) having an active methylene group or an active methine group which may have an elminable substitutent, e.g., the compound of formulaIwith a compound (B) represented by formula II (where A1 is hydroxy or a group represented by formula III; each of R6 and R7 is alkyl; R1 is alkyl, aryl, alkylamino or arylamino; and each of R2, R3, R4 and R5 is H, halogen or the like), e.g., the compound of formula IV or V and silica (C) having about 0.1W100μm particle size. When the composition is irradiated with active radiant light or heated, the components A, B react with each other, forming dye, so development is unnecessary.
