Abstract:
To provide an image forming device having a mechanism for meeting both requirements to ensure the security of discharged printed matter and to make the operating noises (machine noises) of the device not offensive when operated.
The image forming device includes an aftertreatment device 101 for sealing a plurality of discharge trays 313 with a single sealing door 323. In accordance with a user's instruction to cancel the sealing of the sealing door 323, an operation mode is changed over into a quiet operation mode before canceling the sealing of the sealing door 323.
