Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device for transiting to an optimum power state considering the connection of a device according to the USB standard or the like without complicating a software control thereby to realize the power-saving.SOLUTION: If an image forming device is shifted to a power-saving mode (if Yes at S101), the CPU thereof sets a USB return detection part to a reception standby at S102 so as to restore the case, in the case where a return factor (e.g., a job reception) occurs, and a power source control part is notified of the shift to the power-saving mode at S104. In response to the notification, the power source control part stops the electric power to the USB return detection part and shifts at S107 to a low power consumption mode, in the case where a VBUS signal is not inputted, and shifts at S106 to a USB power-saving mode in which the electric power is fed to the USB return detection part, in the case where the VBUS signal is inputted.
