Abstract:
To provide a stable basis weight measured result, without being affected by flapping of a recording medium, in an image forming device for measuring basis weight of the recording medium.
When carrying the recording medium 17 by a manual feed pickup roller 12 for carrying the recording medium 17 loaded on a manual feed tray 11, carrying is performed when the manual feed pickup roller 12 abuts on the recording medium 17, and the carrying is not performed in separation. The stable basis weight measured result can be provided by measuring the basis weight by a basis weight sensor 14 in a state of temporarily stopping the recording medium when this manual feed pickup roller 12 and the recording medium 17 are separated from each other.
