Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compare an original image with a read image appropriately, for highly reliable image inspection.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a printing unit for forming a RIP-processed original image on a sheet, and an image read unit for reading the original image formed on the sheet to acquire a read image. The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming condition acquisition unit for acquiring an image forming condition of the printing unit in forming the original image on the sheet; an image read condition acquisition unit for acquiring an image read condition of the image read unit in reading the original image formed on the sheet; a processing parameter determination unit for determining a processing parameter, on the basis of the image forming condition and the image read condition; and an image inspection unit which corrects the read image, on the basis of the processing parameter, and compares the original image with the corrected read image, to inspect the finish of a printed matter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
