Abstract:
To provide a thermal transfer recording-type image forming device, which enables a film-like medium to be stably conveyed, by appropriately controlling conveying means involved in conveying the film-like medium.SOLUTION: Conveying means includes first and second conveying means that have driving sources respectively, which are arranged at one side and at the other side respectively with respect to a transfer position where transfer is performed and supply and convey film-like media to the transfer position. Supply voltages to the driving source of the first conveying means and to the driving source of the second conveying means can be varied so as to increase and decrease in a transfer period of time during which transfer operation is performed, in accordance with increase in usage rate of the film-like media. When the usage rate is above a predetermined value, activation voltages which are higher than the supply voltages that can be varied in accordance with the usage rate and can surely activate the driving sources are applied at least to the second conveying means, and the supply voltages that can be varied are supplied to the driving source after a predetermined period of time elapses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
