Abstract:
To provide an image forming device capable of collectively discharging one part of sheets by detecting a loading state of the sheets in discharge trays when a part comprising a plurality of the sheets is printed.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: a printing part for printing on sheets to discharge the sheets to a first sheet discharge tray or a second sheet discharge tray; a detection part for detecting a full state with sheets and a near full state with sheets smaller by a predetermined number than in the full state based on an amount of sheets discharged to the first sheet discharge tray or the second sheet discharge tray; a switching part for switching a sheet discharge destination to the second sheet discharge tray when the first sheet discharge tray is detected to stay in the full state in the middle of printing a first part; a calculation part for calculating a vacant space of the second sheet discharge tray when a part of the sheets constituting the first part is discharged to the second sheet discharge tray to complete printing; and a control part for setting a sheet discharge destination of a second part to the second sheet discharge tray or terminating execution of the job based on the calculated vacant space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
