Abstract:
To provide an image forming device and an image forming method which can improve usability, in correcting density irregularities such as vertical stripes and vertical bands of an image.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises: a generating part that generates a position detection pattern and a density detection pattern; an image forming part that forms the position detection pattern and the density detection pattern on a recording medium, by making an exposing part radiate light; a reading-out part that reads out the position detection pattern and the density detection pattern formed on the recording medium; and a correcting part that corrects a quantity of light of the exposing part on the basis of a read-out result of the position detection pattern and the density detection pattern. The image forming part forms the position detection pattern at an upstream side in a conveying direction of the recording medium and forms the density detection pattern at a downstream side in the conveying direction, with respect to a plurality of directions of the recording medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
