Abstract:
To provide an image forming device capable of avoiding an error of being incapable of supplying a sheet which occurs when the continuous printing is instructed in a state in which only one sheet longer than a prescribed length is left in a sheet feed tray.SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises a conveyance control unit 231C for controlling conveyance of a sheet, a sheet presence/absence determination unit 231A for determining whether or not a sheet is present in a sheet feed tray, and a length determination unit 231E for determining whether or not the length of the sheet being conveyed by a conveyance unit 30 is a prescribed length. The conveyance control unit 231C causes the conveyance unit 30 to further continue the conveyance of a long sheet determined to be longer than the prescribed length by the length determination unit 231E, and passes a rear end of the long sheet through a detection position detected by a resist sensor 33. The sheet presence/absence determination unit 231A determines the presence/absence of a sheet P in the sheet feed tray based on the detection information from a tray sensor 23 accompanying the conveyance control of the long sheet by the conveyance control unit 231C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
