To provide an image forming device incorporating a lubricant applying device which can spread the lubricant thinner and more evenly in the width direction on the photoreceptor and improve the transfer performance and cleaning performance, and also provide a processing cartridge thereof.

The lubricant application means in this image forming device is composed of a first lubricant applicating device 17 disposed upstream the cleaning blade 15a in the revolution direction X of the photoreceptor, and a second lubricant applicator 18 disposed downstream. The first lubricant applicating device 17 works also as a cleaning brush roller 15b to apply the lubricant to the photoreceptor drum 11. The second lubricant applicating device 18 has a solid lubricant 18b, a brush-like roller 18a turning in contact with the solid lubricant 18b to scrape the lubricant off to apply to the surface of the photoreceptor drum 11, and an application blade 18c to spread the supplied lubricant thin on the photoreceptor drum 11.
