Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a stapleless binding process by an optimal number of binding for each sheet to be used.SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises a sheet feeding cassette which is loaded with a sheet to be fed to an image forming portion, an operating portion for inputting data and a CPU that controls the sheet feeding casette and the operating portion. A post-processing portion has an eco-stapler which binds a sheet bundle conveyed from the image forming portion without using staples so as to create a bound bundle in response to an instruction from the CPU. The CPU determines, based on an estimation result of a trial bound bundle for estimating a state of the binding by the eco-stapler, the number of binding of the sheet bundle to be bound by the eco-stapler for each sheet (S708-S717).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
