Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily and surely exchange and position a rotary developing device for black-and-white and color originals, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The rotary developing device 5 where plural developing units 9Y, 9M, and 9C containing powder developer are arranged around a rotary shaft 21 is provided near a latent image carrier 4, and turned centering around the rotary shaft 21 so as to displace the optional developing unit 9Y, 9M, or 9C to a developing position opposed to the latent image carrier 4 to perform development in this image forming device. A guide member 47 which has an engaging part 47a engaging with the rotary shaft 21 and guides the device 5 in the direction attachable/detachable to/from the carrier 4 is installed in an image forming device main body. Then, a moving member 46 which holds the device 50 to be freely attachable/detachable in the vertical direction and shifts the device 5 along the member 47 is installed.
