This image forming device is provided with its body, a cassette which contains sheets for forming an image and can be removably mounted on the body, and a regulating means provided on either one of the body or the cassette which regulates movement of the cassette in the direction that the cassette leaves away from the body when the body on which the cassette is loaded is at a first position and cancels the regulation when the body on which the cassette is loaded is at a second position.
