The image forming device is configured to comprise a paper tray 30 for placing image forming media for forming an image, a paper ejecting tray 32 for placing the image forming media on which an image has been formed, a convey unit 27 for conveying the image forming media along a convey route from the paper tray 30 to the paper ejecting tray 32, a paper sensor 28 and a jam sensing part 10a for sensing occurrence of a jam of the image forming media occurred at a plurality of locations in the convey route, and a conveyance control part 12c to make the convey unit 27 to convey, when a jam is sensed in any of a plurality of locations, the image forming media existing at another location in the convey route to a particular position determined according to the former location.
