The connecting mechanism 160 includes an elastic member (coil spring 161) for imparting an energizing force in a direction to lower the supply roller 110 to the support mechanism 140, acting parts (an arm member 162 and a cam member 163) for deforming the elastic member by interlocking with an operation to open the manual feed tray 12 and releasing the deformation of the elastic member by interlocking with an operation to close the manual feed tray 12, and a regulating member 165 for regulating the deformation of the elastic member by abutting on the action parts when opening the manual feed tray 12.
