Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image forming operation even when a residual capacity of a battery for driving an image forming device is below a threshold to stop a printing operation.SOLUTION: When print setting is made, normal printing is performed in step S2 until a residual capacity of a battery becomes equal to or lower than a threshold in step S1. When the residual capacity of the battery becomes equal to or lower than the threshold during the printing of the job, it is determined whether or not a head protection operation is necessary in step S4. If it is determined that the head protection operation is necessary, capping in step S5 is performed, and a standby state is entered. If it is determined that the head protection operation is not necessary (forcible printing has been set), printing (forcible printing) is performed in step S6 without performing the capping. Then, the printing is continued until the printing is finished or battery exhaustion occurs in step S7, and when the printing is finished or the battery exhaustion occurs, the standby state is entered.
