Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet loading device on which long sheets can be loaded while maintaining downsizing of a printer, and which is excellent in operability when an extended sheet tray is drawn and stored.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: an opening/closing lid 12 which forms a portion of an exterior part of an image forming apparatus and is formed in an openable/closable manner; a plurality of sheet loading members which can be stored in the opening/closing lid; a link member which connects the sheet loading members; first energization means which energizes the sheet loading members in a drawing direction; a first lock member 30 which is provided in the opening/closing lid and restricts drawing of the sheet loading members by engagement of an engagement part with the sheet loading members; and second energization means which energizes the first lock member in the direction of engagement with the sheet loading members. In the printer, a contact part 30c of the first lock member is brought into contact with a contact part 11e of a housing 11 and the first lock member is disengaged from the sheet loading member at a position where the opening/closing lid is turned by a prescribed angle from the storage state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
