Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can reduce the generation of scratches due to contact of a vibrating body with an inner peripheral surface of a belt-like image holding body, compared with a case where a surface resistivity of a vibration transmission member on a side in contact with the vibrating body is not smaller than a surface resistivity of the inner peripheral surface of the image holding body.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a belt-like image holding body that rotates while holding a toner image; a rotating body that is in contact with an outer peripheral surface of the image holding body to form a transfer part passing a recording medium therethrough; a vibrating body that vibrates at a position on the inner peripheral surface side of the image holding body and facing the rotating body; and a vibration transmission member that is interposed between the image holding body and the vibrating body to transmit vibration of the vibrating body to the image holding body. A surface resistivity of the vibration transmission member on a side in contact with the vibrating body is smaller than a surface resistivity of the inner peripheral surface of the image holding body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
