Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an image forming apparatus is enlarged and its cost is increased when a sensor for determining a paper type is provided to the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: Based on a driving current value detected in a state where a sheet which is carried by a first roller and not carried by a second roller is bent, a type of the sheet carried by the first roller is determined. As a result, the type of the sheet can be determined without using a sensor for determining the type of sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
