Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can smoothly perform an operation to open/close an opening/closing door.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a first drive joint part that transmits a rotational driving force to a first rotating body having a rotation shaft; a second drive joint part that transmits a rotational driving force to a second rotating body having a rotation shaft; release means that releases the joint of the first drive joint part and second drive joint part while providing a difference in timing; and an opening/closing door that is rotatably supported to be movable between a closing position for covering an opening in an apparatus body and an opening position for opening the opening. The release means releases the joint of the first drive joint part and second drive joint part in conjunction with a movement of the opening/closing door from the closing position to the opening position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
