Abstract:
To provide an image forming device capable of inhibiting wasteful electric power from being consumed considering influence of transferred heat when lighting a dehumidifying heater in a paper storage device.SOLUTION: An image forming device equipped with a plurality of paper storage devices includes identification means mounted to the paper storage devices to represent the kind of the paper storage devices, heating parts for heating the papers in the paper storage devices, a determination part for determining the kind of all paper storage devices connected to paper residual quantity detection parts for detecting a quantity of the papers in the paper storage devices based on signals from the identification means, and a calculation part for calculating lighting rates of the heating parts based on the quantity and the kind of the papers in the paper storage devices, and an electric power is supplied to the heating parts of the respective paper storage devices at the lighting rates obtained by the calculation results according to combination of a plurality of the connected paper storage devices.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
