Abstract:
To suppress wrinkles caused on an ink ribbon in a wider range to prevent image defect such as pixel omission caused by wrinkles.SOLUTION: An image forming device, which transfers an image formed on a transfer medium to a recording medium using an ink ribbon, comprises: transfer means that has a platen and a thermal head comprising a heater element, which conveys the transfer medium and the ink ribbon overlapped with each other while guiding the medium and the ribbon, and transfers ink of the ink ribbon to the transfer medium to form an image, by heat generation by the heater element; and a peeling roller that peels the ink ribbon from the transfer medium, while guiding the transfer medium having the image formed thereon by the transfer means and the ink ribbon overlapped with each other with the medium and the ink ribbon wound around a surface thereof, where a plurality of groove-like concave parts are formed on the surface of the peeling roller.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
