Abstract:
To suppress erroneous detection of a rear end of a recording material even in the case where there is a possibility that a rotary member is rotated at a portion other than the rear end.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: a first detection sensor which includes a rotary member capable of coming into contact with a recording material conveyed in a conveyance direction and which outputs a first signal in response to rotation of the rotary member, and which is configured to rotate in the case where the rotary member is pushed to a front end of the recording material in the conveyance direction and in the case where a rear end of the recording material passes; a second detection sensor which is different from the first detection sensor, and which outputs a second signal in response to the passing of the recording material; and an engine control unit which detects the rear end of the recording material based on the first signal, after the rotary member is rotated by the front end of the recording material. Based on the second signal, the engine control unit sets a detection section for detecting the rear end in the case where the first signal satisfies a predetermined condition. The engine control unit does not detect the rear end even when the first signal satisfies the predetermined condition before the detection section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
