Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform simultaneous transfer fixation without causing irregularities in a toner image and the break of the image structure of dots of full line by adjusting the viscosity of toner being the index of the flow of the toner.
SOLUTION: A pressure roll 3 is arranged to freely separate from a heating roll 2, and press-contacts with the roll 2 in synchronism with feeding recording paper P from a tray 6. Thereafter, an intermediate transfer body 50 holding the toner image of plural colors and the recording paper P are moved between the rolls 2 and 3 in timing with each other and pressed and heated. the toner heated to be equal to or above melting temperature is softened, melted and permeated in the recording paper, then solidified, so that the transfer fixation is performed. In such a case, assuring that the number of lines per unit length constituting the toner image is d(line/inch) and the viscosity of the toner in the melted state is η(Pa s), the toner image is formed by using the toner always satisfying η≥0.04d2 while the toner image on the transfer body 50 is heated to be melted, and transferred and cooled on the recording paper P.
