Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an image forming device which functions as a printer and also as a printing press and can keep a running cost low.
CONSTITUTION: In a printer mode, a sheet is fed onto a support drum 1 so that a dielectric layer is disposed on the upper side; a thermal head 4 writes an image; an electrostatic latent image is formed on the sheet; a developing device 5 supplies a toner to the electrostatic latent image; a toner image is formed on the sheet; and the toner image is transferred to transfer paper by a transfer charger 6. In a printing press mode, a sheet is fed onto the support drum 1 so that a conductive layer is disposed on the upper side; the thermal head 4 writes an image; at the heated part, the conductive layer is released and a dielectric layer is fused; recessed parts are formed on the dielectric layer; the recessed parts are electrified by an electrifying charger 3: the developing device 5 supplies a toner into the recessed parts; the toner in the recessed parts is transferred to transfer paper by the transfer charger 6.
