Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily make an image vivid without causing surface fogging and the lowering of toner density even when the image is formed by using a rear exposing system by providing a photosensitive body formed of a-Si based material as a photoconductive layer which receives light output from an exposing means.
CONSTITUTION: A dynamic driving system LED head is used as the exposing means 2, and the a-Si based material is used for the photoconductive layer 1c on the photosensitive side, which receives the outputted light from the head. Namely, the a-Si based photoconductive layer 1c has high light absorbing power and high optical carrier generating power as compared with other material of the photosensitive body such as SeAs, SeTe, CdS, and OPC, etc., and the mobility of the generated carrier is high, so that photoelectric conversion is effectively performed even with the light output in extremely short time by dynamic driving. In such a case, the specified potential degree is obtained even with small light output by thinning film thickness, but it is desirable to set the lower limit thereof at about 2μm. An injection preventing layer 1e is formed on a boundary side between the photoconductive layer 1c and a light transmissive conductive layer 1b.
