Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device having such structure that an original platen can be opened as far as in a vertical direction to the upper plane surface of a device main body.
CONSTITUTION: The image forming device is provided with a supporting part 4 supporting the turning action of the original platen 2 for opening and closing so that the platen 2 can be opened as far as in the vertical direction to the upper horizontal surface of the device main body 3. Then, the platen 2 opened as far as in the vertical direction is held in a vertical state by a holding part 5. Since the platen 2 is opened as far as in the vertical direction, the upper part of the main body 3 is opened and the back surface of the platen 2 is also opened as a vertical surface. Therefore, the maintenance work of the device, the cleaning work of a contact glass and the like can be easily executed.
