Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix an exposure optical system, for attaining stable driving and to form a color image of high quality without an offset by using plural simple mirrors for controlling the optical paths of the exposure optical system.
SOLUTION: The exposure optical system 30 is provided fixedly in parallel with the arrangement direction of image forming units 40B, 40Y, 40M and 40C and includes first and second moving mirrors 31 and 32 for exposing respective photoreceptors 41B, 41Y, 41M and 41C in the optical paths having the same length, from the exposure optical system 30. The first moving mirrors 31 reflect light projected from the exposure optical system 30 to a second optical path 34 being parallelly away from the first path 33. Further, the second moving mirrors 32 reflect the light reflected to the second optical path 34 to the selected photoreceptors 41B, 41Y, 41M and 41C. At this time, the first and second moving mirrors 31 and 32 are moved along the first and second optical paths 33 and 34 respectively, so that the optical paths reaching the respective photoreceptors 41B, 41Y, 41M and 41C from the exposure optical system 30 are equal in length.
