Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the turnup of a cleaning blade caused by the insufficiency of toner at the tip surface of the cleaning blade by setting an angle formed by the tip surface of the cleaning blade with a horizontal surface to be equal to or under the angle of repose of the toner.
SOLUTION: The cleaning blade 5a of a cleaning device 5 is constituted integrally with a blade holder 5b and provided so that its tip part may abut on a transfer belt 6 on a driving roller 6a by fixing the blade holder 5b to a transfer case 52. Assuming that the angle formed by the tip surface of the blade 5a with the horizontal surface H at the time of holding a cover 14 in a closed state by using a hook 18 and setting the opening/closing angle θ of the cover 14 to 0 is α1 and the angle formed by the tip surface 5a1 of the blade 5a with the horizontal surface H at the time of opening the cover 14 to the limit shown in a tape 22 and setting the opening/closing angle θ of the cover 14 to degrees at which jamming processing can be performed is α2, both α1 and α2 are set to be equal to or under the angle of repose of the toner used in the image forming device.
