Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of ensuring detection that a recording sheet is wound (in a parting phenomenon) on a belt rotor including an intermediate transfer and a sheet carrier without being separated therefrom and preventing troubles resulting from such a recording sheet.
SOLUTION: At a position distant from a secondary transfer part M (a separation part), where a recording sheet P is separated from an intermediate transfer belt 2, to the downstream side in the rotating direction of the belt, a separation error detection sensor 5 is installed which detects the existence of the recording sheet P fixed on the intermediate transfer belt 2 without being separated at the secondary transfer part. When the separation error of the recording sheet P is detected by the sensor 5, a device is stopped as a whole. There are various rules about the installation positions of the sensor 5.
