Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with both the fine adjustment and the coarse adjustment of deviated registration amount without making a detector for reading a registration deviation detection pattern large.
SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with a pattern forming means for forming a registration deviation detection pattern M consisting of a 1st line segment M1 arranged at a specified angle to a processing direction being the moving direction of the surface of an image carrier and a 2nd line segment M2 arranged symmetrically by putting a virtual line orthogonal to the processing direction between the line segments M1 and M2 as an image on the image carrier, a pattern reading means for reading the line segments M1 and M2 formed on the image carrier in order at a specified position, and a registration deviation detecting means for detecting deviated registration amount based on the read result.
