PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can create a flexible operation screen while suppressing an increase in capacity of a basic image to be created in advance.SOLUTION: A controller unit 1 comprises: an HDD 12 that stores a screen configuration data; a determination part that detects a change in image forming apparatus 100 and determines whether update of an operation screen is necessary on the basis of the details of the detected change; a screen configuration data acquisition part that acquires screen configuration data corresponding to the operation screen after the update from the HDD 12; and a first communication part that transmits the acquired screen configuration data to a display unit 3. The display unit 3 includes a display control part that displays a first operation screen on a display part and a second communication part that receives the screen configuration data; a creation part creates second operation screen data that is screen configuration data of a second operation screen corresponding to an operation display part 30 on the basis of configuration information; and the display control part updates the first operation screen to the second operation screen on the basis of the second operation screen data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
