Abstract:
An image forming apparatus (1) includes a driving force transmitting mechanism (30) transmitting a driving force from a driving source (31) to a rotating member (47) through a plurality of coupled driving force transmitting members(35), (36), (37). The driving force transmitting mechanism (30) has a supporting member (2a) and a drive case (39). The support member (2a) supports the driving source (31) and the rotating members (35), (36), (37). The drive case (39) is provided on the support member (2a) and forms a closed space (S) with the supporting member (2). The closed space (2a) stores the driving force transmitting members (35), (36), (37). The drive case (39) is formed with a sound insulating part (50). The sound insulating part (50) has at least either one of concave and convex parts (51) at a position closest to the coupling part (G1) of the driving force transmitting members (35), (36).
