Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disperse positions for forming marks corresponding to the use count to a calibration sheet used in calibration of an image reading unit.SOLUTION: When a sheet to be fed next is a calibration sheet (step S1; YES), the coordinates of the position for forming a mark is decided by using the random number (step S2), the mark is formed at the decided position on the calibration sheet by an image formation unit (step S3), and the calibration sheet formed with the mark is read by an image reading unit (step S4). On the basis of the number of read marks, the use count of the calibration sheet is acquired (step S5), and the residual use count (residual number) of the calibration sheet is calculated (step S6). When the residual number of the calibration sheet is 0 or more (step S7; YES), the residual number of the calibration sheet is displayed on a display unit (step S8).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
