Abstract:
To reduce rattling of a sub carriage in a carriage to improve recording accuracy.SOLUTION: A holding unit and a recording head can be moved in a first direction together with a carriage. The recording head performs recording on a recording medium by discharging liquid to the recording medium, with the recording head positioned at a first position and with the carriage moved in the first direction, and performs recording on the recording medium by discharging liquid to the medium with the recording head positioned at a second position different from the first position and with the carriage moved in the first direction, where positions of a second locking part with respect to a first locking part differ in three directions of the first direction, the second direction and a third direction respectively, and the third direction is substantially orthogonal to the first direction and the second direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
