Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a recorder which can readily control an intermediate transfer means and a latent image holding means and which ensures a satisfactory transfer state by constituting the intermediate transfer means of an insulating member, an elastic member and base material. CONSTITUTION:The intermediate transfer means 11 overlaps a toner image on a photosensitive body 3 every color and transfers it. The intermediate trans fer means 11 is composed of the base material 11A (aluminum, for instance), the elastic member 11B (foaming rubber, for instance), and the insulating mem ber 11C ('Mylar film(R)', for instance) in that order form the bottom. Since the intermediate transfer means 11 has elasticity, it is deformed to correspond with the outer periphery of the photosensitive body 3; therefore a part where the photosensitive body 3 comes into contact with the intermediate transfer means 11 widens to improve a transfer state. Since the part where the body 3 comes into contact with the means 11 is wide, they can be readily controlled.
