PURPOSE: To prevent the inside of a machine from being stained with toner scattering and to prevent a misoperation by providing an expendable part with an operating piece and a device main body with a switch which turns on/off by cooperating with the operating piece of the device main body when the expendable part is attached to a prescribed position and which forms a control circuit which controls the operation of the device main body.
CONSTITUTION: The expendable part 600 has the operating piece 61, and the switch S which turns on/off by cooperating with the operating piece 61 when the expendable part 600 is attached to the prescribed position of the device main body 1 and forms the control circuit controlling the device main body 1 is provided on the device main body 1. Therefore, when the device is closed, if the expendable parts 600 such as a toner cartridge and an unit including it are not set to the device 1, a power source is not turned on, nor a rotating member, etc. are driven. Thus, the inside of a machine is prevented from being stained by the toner scattering and the misoperation is also prevented.
