PURPOSE: To simply carry out the dividing conveyance of originals by placing one end of a flexible sheet member the other end of which is fixed to the vicinity of the inlet of a conveying passage between a send-in means and a take-out means.

CONSTITUTION: A flexible sheet member 85 is provided in such a way that one end portion thereof is fixed to the vicinity of the inlet of a second conveying passage 82 while placing the other end portion between a send-in means and a take-out means. At the time of sending in an original D onto a platen glass (original table) 3 by the normal rotation of a feed roller 81 which is used for both send-in means and take-out means, the sheet member 85 is pushed away by means of the original D which is conveyed on a first conveying passage 67, to make the original D pass through. Then, at the time of taking the original D out of the platen glass 3 by reversing the feed roller 81, the original D is dividingly guided to the second conveying passage 82 by means of the sheet member 85, to be introduced to the outside of an automatic original feeding device.
