PURPOSE: To surely carry a transfer material without generating any slack and to obtain a stable image without any deviation by setting circumferencial speed of each image carrier of a multiple number of image forming means to be slightly faster as it goes down stream in carrying direction of the transfer material.
CONSTITUTION: In a process carrying the paper P extracted from the paper feeding cassette 2 to a paper ejecting part 3, by passing the paper P through the multiple number of image processing units 5 to 8, a multi colored image can be obtained at a high speed, greatly increasing the image forming speed. Because the photosensitive body drums 30Y, 30M, 30C, and 30B of each processing units 5 to 8 are set so that the relationship of their circumferencial speed, V1, V2, V3, and V4 is V4>V3>V2>V1 as it goes down stream in the carrying direction of the paper P, the slacking of the paper P due to difference in the circumferential speed of the photosensitive body drums 30Y, 30M, 30C, and 30B is prevented and the image deviation can be surely prevented.
