PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device capable of stably obtaining a high quality image by preventing the generation of a subdued image.

CONSTITUTION: In the image forming device transferring the toner image formed on a photoreceptor drum (image carrier) 3 on a transfer material carried on a transfer material carrying sheet (transfer material carrying member) 93 to form an image on the transfer material, in such a manner that a transfer electric field is formed by a transfer electrifier (transfer electric field forming means) 10, a transfer part destaticization electrifier 30 for destaticizing the downstream side in the carrying direction of a part where the photoreceptor drum 3 faces the transfer material carried on the transfer material sheet 93 is installed on the rear surface side of the side opposite to the photoreceptor drum 3. By this way, the downstream side from the transfer part is destaticized by the transfer part destaticizer 30, so that severe discharge does not occur on the separating part of the photoreceptor drum 3 and the transfer material. Thus, the generation of the subdued image generated in the conventional manner is prevented and the high quality image can be stably obtained.
