PURPOSE: To simply and easily execute both of the exchange of an image formation processing unit and jam processing, in the image forming device of a system for exchanging/using the image formation processing unit.
CONSTITUTION: As a characteristic, the image forming device is constituted so as to provide the image formation processing unit 5, an upper part case 2 freely attachably/detachably housing it, a lower part case supporting the upper part case 2 so as to freely open/close it, a fixing and releasing means 9 fixing/releasing the image formation processing unit 5 and the upper part case 2, a driving means 10 driving the fixing/releasing means 9, and a control means inputting an exchange signal for instructing the exchange of the image formation processing unit 5 or a jamming or cleaning signal for instructing jamming or cleaning and outputting a control signal controlling the driving means 10 in response to the signals.
