PURPOSE: To provide an image forming device where exhaust is uniformly and completely performed in each image forming station, where the contamination of a primary charger by scattered toner is prevented and which is advantageous in terms of cost as a multicolor image forming device.

CONSTITUTION: An exhaust duct 8 is provided on the rear side of the image forming device, and aperture parts P1 to P5 are provided near the back parts of the respective image forming stations 1M, 1C, 1Y and 1BK on the duct 8, and a ventilating fan 7 is provided at the end of the duct 8. The respective aperture parts PI to P5 are aligned with a developing device and a cleaning device, the figures of which are omitted, in the image forming station. When the fan 8 is operated, the air in front of the aperture parts P1 to P5 sucked from the respective aperture parts P1 to P5 flows within the range of the image forming station to which the aperture part corresponds, nearly along photoreceptor drums 101M, 101C, 101Y and 101BK, so that the scattered toner is prevented from adhering to the primary charger.
