PURPOSE: To rapidly execute setting and adjustment by providing the main body of a copying machine with a quick disc device for storing setting and adjustment procedures, and at the setting time, reading and displaying this contents by a dot matrix system.

CONSTITUTION: The main body 1 of the copying machine is provided with the quick disc device 30 fitted with a quick disc Qd. This disc Qd stores the setting and adjustment procedures by magnetic recording, and the device 30 is started with a starting button 301, reads out the procedures, and displays them in succession on the display plate of an operation panel 3 by a dot matrix system. When the disc Qd is not used, it is housed in a container 17, thus permitting a bulky setting and operation manual to be made unnecessary, and a setting and adjustment work to be carried out rapidly.
