PURPOSE: To facilitate peeling of a recording medium from an image carrier even if a picture is developed with the toner having a charge with the same polarity as the electrostatic charge polarity on the image carrier by installing a destaticizer between a developing device and a transfer device and destaticizing static electricity of the image carrier.

CONSTITUTION: The developing device 4 applies the inverse development processing to the electrostatic latent image of the image carrier 1 through a developing roller which positively charges a conveyable toner and is impressed with a bias of 400V, for instance. Due to the light irradition from the destaticizer 20 installed between the developing device 4 and the transfer device 6, pre-transfer destaticization is executed, and the potential of the image carrier 1 drops below 300V due to the electrostatic destaticization. Even if development processing is made with the charge toner with the same polarity as the electrostatic charge polarity on the image carrier, the peeling of the recording medium from the image carrier can be executed easily and securely through the transfer device 6 and a peeling device 7. The image destruction due to discharge will not occur at the time of passing the 2nd developing device 5, and color mixing of the image and its fog can be prevented.
